This week on ZSPN I broke down the entire playoff bracket for the National Football League playoffs. From the Wildcard to the Superbowl hers how it all went down.
In the Wildcard round teams like The Buffalo Bills, The Kansas City Chiefs, the Buffalo Bills and The Detroit Lions all advanced, however the two biggest winners came from the four vs five seeded games in both conferences. The Houston Texans dominated The Browns and their stellar defense by a final score of 45-14, if you did not think it by that point, Cj Stroud showed that he is the man for Houston. In the NFC, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers thwarted the Philadelphia Eagles by a score of 32-9. This was a game where Baker Mayfield earned his payday and Todd Bowles protected his job.
The Divisional Round is known every year as the best round of the playoffs. That held true this year as well, with the Ravens, Lions, Chiefs, and 49ers grabbing Ws in round 2. The most shocking outcome this weekend was the Bills losing to the Chiefs. The magic of Mahomes won this game for Kansas City along with a costly drop by Stefon Diggs and a big, missed kick by Tyler Bass. The most entertaining game was San Fran and Green Bay as Jordan Love went toe to toe but a very costly INT at the end sealed the fate for Green Bay.
Championship Sunday consisted of a defensive showcase in Baltimore as the Chiefs beat the Ravens 17-10 to clinch a Super Bowl berth once again. The Lions were on cloud 9 at halftime in the NFC title game leading 24-7. However, all Cj Gardner Johnson waved goodbye to, was a Superbowl berth. Brock Purdy and the 49ers outscored Detroit 27-7 in the second half to grab a 34-31 win.
The Superbowl is set, a rematch from 4 years ago. The Chiefs look to run it back and the 49ers look to get it back. It looks like a game for the ages. On February 11th, the Chiefs and the 49ers close the book for the 2023 and 2024 season.
