Another place is Adventure Island Tampa. Adventure Island is a water park located northeast of Tampa, Florida, across the street from Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. The park features 30 acres (about half the area of a large shopping mall) of water rides, dining, and other attractions. The park opened on June 7, 1980, and is part of United Parks & Resorts. The city is known for its beach and surf breaks. Inside a surf shop, the Florida Surf Museum traces the sport’s local history. Nearby Cocoa Beach Pier has eateries and shops. The maritime forest at oceanfront Lori Wilson Park attracts birdlife.
